Personal Information Provided by You. Jackrabbit collects personal information when you interact with our Services as a Guest, Host or Site visitor. Personal information is any information that identifies or makes an individual identifiable. The definition of personal information (used interchangeably in this Privacy Policy with the term “personal data”) depends on the applicable law based on your physical location. Only the definition that applies to your physical location will apply to you under this Privacy Policy.

  • Vehicle data. We collect information you provide in relation to a vehicle such as vehicle listing details, vehicle identification number (VIN), availability dates, reviews, and uploaded trip photos.
  • Customer Service:  records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us by telephone or in writing or via chat, including for customer support;
  • Program Participation:  information related to your participation in our programs, including our loyalty rewards program;
  • Promotions and Feedback:  information relating to your participation in a promotion, or survey that we may ask you to complete for research purposes;
  • Payment Information: we may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Please note that Jackrabbit neither requires nor wishes to obtain any sensitive information from you, such as health/medical records, genetic information, or religious affiliations.  Please do not transmit or relate any such information to us.

Personal Information About Third Parties.  To the extent you wish to provide us the personal information of someone other than yourself, for instance, a Guest providing information to see authorization for another vehicle driver, you acknowledge that you must first have the other individuals’ consent to do so.

Information from Third Parties:  When you interact with our Services or accounts on a social media platform, we may collect the personal information that you or the platform make available to us on that page or account, including your social media account ID and/or user name associated with that social media service, your profile picture, email address, friends list or information about the people and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them, and any information you have made public in connection with that social media service.

The information we obtain depends on your privacy settings on the applicable social media service; we will comply with the privacy policies of the social media platform and we will only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by those social media platforms. We may also collect transactional information related to the trips you take through the Services, including the date and time of your trip, amounts charged, and other related trip details, as well as in-vehicle device data, if a rented vehicle has a device installed in it that may collect information such as GPS location, car battery voltage, fuel level, odometer reading, malfunction indicator lamp (e.g., a check engine light), door state (e.g., locked/unlocked), engine state (e.g., stopped/running), and VIN.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information as a Host, Guest or Site visitor for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.

Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Facebook or Twitter logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider.
